The Highland Clearances were a dark period in Scottish history, roughly from 1750 to 1860, when tens of thousands of people were forcibly removed from their ancestral lands, to be replaced by livestock. This old Rowan Tree, next to an abandoned settlement at An Aird (nr. Portree) is one of many reminders scattered across the Highlands.
This amazing landscape is available in A3, A2 and A1 sizes, as print only, or with a choice of wooden frames in White, Black and Oak
